RE sales past 8 years in Liberia, selling over 8,000 ICS and 1,500 solar pico while simultaneously partnering with international organizations like GIZ Endev, Mercy Corp, CI, Arcelor Mittal Steel, PCI Liberia, and maintaining a close relationship with government partners RREA and EPA. Royston is president of Liberia’s LEAP Network and an inaugural winner of a Tony Elemelu Entrepreneur Program (TEEP) scholarship and grant (2015). SJedi founder Peter Gbelia has a MA in Sustainability from Arizona State University’s School of Sustainability and assists in the vision and direction of the company, guiding sustainable development.  Most of our employees are young and ambitious with limited capacity or experience and so we are guiding them and teaching them about leadership, character, integrity, sustainability, renewable energy, and business. AECF funding has allowed SJedi to hire a HR manager, Financial Officer, sales agents, and call center with two employees for PAYGO operations and customer service, including a planned toll-free number. Our distribution partners are members of the LEAP network (16 distributors) to help us cover the country. We have two SUVs, a pickup truck, and a motorbike.  SJedi employs majority women and girls.  Working with SJedi qualifies all employees for scholarships, and they may become part-time staff during the school semester in order to attend classes. CEO Royston manages and oversees the entire operation of sales agents.
